The Viet Cong sniper was always a constant threat to the US and Free World forces. In 1968 during the Tet Offensive the Viet Cong deployed snipers among the ruined buildings to harass the advancing ARVN and Marine forces playing a deadly game of cat and mouse in the ruins which cost the Marines dearly.
